Hiatus Update: Where have I been & what is going on?

"Hello, Apollo. Where should I begin?" - Coheed & Cambria, "The Ring in Return"

It's been a heck of a while since the last update I gave you, and for that I am so sorry. I had intended to get the supplement done for this summer, but I've missed that dead line for no fault but my own writer's block and struggles with mental health.

I'll save the excuses for now and give you people a break-down for what I have done and what I need to get done (aside from writing the thing).

What I've done:

  • Started establishing the setting with extensive research into the 1920s, focusing on American, Eastern and Western European and Asian history, culture, and technology.
  • Created player options for backgrounds, additional class-like options for players to alter their Skills. (If interested, I will go ahead and place them as a separate document in the .zip file.).
  • Created set pieces for real world cities (New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, and Shanghai), the Unbewusst (The Labyrinth, the Limen, the Halls of Knowledge, The Akashic Records, Brocelainde, the Court of Oberon, the Sea of Stars, the Orrery, and the Nameless City), and the Chthonia.
  • Fleshed out the Philemon Foundation, an organization mentioned in brief in the core rules, establishing them as a new secret society formed from the ashes of another, real-world secret society.

What needs done:

  • Create stat sheets for pre-established personas based on Sumerian/Mesopotamian deities.
  • Flesh out the Stile Kulte, the antagonistic force ("bad guys" option) for the setting mentioned in name in the core book.
  • Create a full and comprehensive list of items for use, including weapons, armors, and special items, integrated with a currency system.
  • Write a bestiary of shadows and establish rules for recruiting Shadows as temporary party members.

Writing this list out has helped my mind, so hopefully we'll see something finished by the end of summer and published by the one-year anniversary of Cognitus' release. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and I hope to talk to you all very soon.

Much love.
