Hello from the other side.

I wanted to make an announcement of some ideas that will be coming to Cognitus: The Roleplaying Game of the Mind. Over the past month, I've been inundated with work and helping my family so I haven't devoted as much time as I'd like to this game, and for that I'd like to apologize. However, despite my lack of communication, I have done a great deal of thinking with regard to Cognitus, so I want to take a moment from the chaos and share what's on my mind.

First is a heartfelt thank you for all the support and feedback I have gotten thus far. As I write this, I being my birthday, so to see over 50 downloads is a great birthday present from you. In all seriousness, I didn't expect such a reaction when I first started this project back in December of 2023. This was simply something to do for my friends and loved ones. Now, I see the potential inside and will continue to develop and expand, to grow this seed for you all.

Second, and the heart of this announcement, I would like to go over a few things that I have in mind for the game. The first, I feel, is most necessary is a game master's screen. Information is, admittedly, a bit spread out throughout the book and can take some time to find. So, my plan is to make a screen in the dimensions of three standard lengths of paper (landscape) and publish a download for that information to be available at a moment's notice. The second necessity that should be coming is a quick-start guide and template guide. The way that Personas are made can be time consuming and intimidating for new players to make, I feel, so to have something quick and easy to get games started with is of high priority. Basically, I will work to make archetypal templates for players to choose from and modify, and incorporate that into the main book when it is finished. There will be an update to the book then, so please keep an eye to the horizon for that day to come.

The final addition I would like to make is a campaign setting. I haven't much more thought on what, when, or how beyond the initial "I would like this to happen" idea, but I will keep everyone informed on my decisions and ideas. If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see, please feel free to discuss below. I eagerly await any feedback that you give.
